This concert (part of Ed Sheeran’s worldwide Mathematics Tour) is on track to be the biggest concert ever held in Cyprus (with around 20,000 fans each evening).
The first night is sold out, but there’s still time to grab tickets for the second night (Sunday 8th of September 2024).
Unlike his UK and Ireland concerts, the Ed Sheeran Cyprus concerts in Cyprus will feel extra special because they are taking place in a custom-built outdoor arena (The Land of Tomorrow Events Venue) under the stars in a warm Mediterranean country and at the perfect time of year!
You should know that September in Cyprus is wonderful and at this time of year, we can offer you a 99.99% guarantee that it won’t rain!
This means, on the day of the Ed Sheeran concert, you’ll be able to soak up the sun all day (either by the pool or on the beach), then throw on a light summer dress or shorts and T-shirt and head out for the Ed Sheeran concert around sunset.
Love the idea of this? Then read on and make it a reality.
All you need is a flight, somewhere to stay and some tickets, so lets sort that out right now…

Throughout the first few weeks of September, the weather in Cyprus remains glorious and there’s a good chance that your local travel agent or companies such as TUI have great last minute deals available!
The sea and all swimming pools are at the perfect temperature PLUS, for this year only, there’s also the additional excitement of experiencing Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics Tour in a custom-built outdoor venue just outside of Larnaca, a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else this year.
Larnaca OR beyond…
Larnaca is a lovely holiday destination, but many of the best hotels, villas and apartments are fully booked due to the Ed Sheeran concert and time of year. Only a few places have rooms available at this stage.
However, don’t let this put you off because Cyprus is small.
This means you can easily stay in other beautiful towns and cities such as Ayia Napa, Protaras, Limassol, or even Paphos. Most of these (except Paphos) are a one-hour or less drive/bus ride from the venue (see our map below).
We highly recommend looking at Ayia Napa and Protaras for a beach holiday and Limassol for a more cosmopolitan holiday.
Ayia Napa (35 mins drive) / Protaras (45 mins drive) / Limassol (60 mins drive) / Paphos (1 hour 40 mins drive).
Whether you want to book your own trip or get a travel agent to do it for you, you’ll be pleased to know that 258 flights are scheduled to leave the UK and arrive here in Cyprus in the first week of September 2024 (split equally between Larnaca and Paphos).
Which airport is best?
Larnaca International Airport is the nearest airport for the City of Larnaca, the closest resorts of Ayia Napa, Protaras and also close enough to Limassol.
Paphos International Airport is a little further away and most useful for stays in Paphos or Limassol.
You can use our helpful flight finder below to see flights to Cyprus from your nearest airport in the UK.
Whether you plan a long weekend or a more extended holiday, finding a perfect place to stay isn’t difficult regardless of your budget.
As mentioned above, your local travel agent should be able to get you a great deal on a package holiday that also puts you here in Cyprus over the first weekend in September (so you can attend the Ed Sheeran concert).

Thanks to its pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, Cyprus is well known as a wonderful holiday destination, and we love welcoming millions of tourists yearly.
People often ask which is the best city in Cyprus for a holiday, and of course, the answer depends entirely on what type of holiday you are looking for.
The most popular destinations for a sun, sea and sand summer holiday are Ayia Napa, Protaras, Larnaca and Paphos, whereas Limassol offers a more sophisticated option if you are looking for a combination of a beach holiday and a city break.
We also have many smaller towns and villages along the coast, such as Paralimni, Pissouri and Latchi and a plethora of wonderful traditional villages in the Troodos mountains.
Away from tourism, Cyprus is also a business hub powered by a talented local and international workforce.
Let’s briefly dive into some key contributors to the Cyprus economy away from tourism.
A large percentage of Cyprus’s economic strength lies in its shipping industry, which has grown over the years due to its strategic location at the “crossroads” of Europe, Asia, and Africa and for other reasons.
For example, following Brexit, P&O Ferries announced that its UK fleet would be reflagged from Dover in the UK to Limassol.
Today, the shipping sector contributes significantly to the nation’s economy, with Cyprus boasting one of the largest merchant fleets globally and a modern international port in Limassol.
Financial Services
Financial services such as banking and insurance also contribute to the Cyprus economy. Limassol, in particular, is home to many international foreign exchange companies.
Cyprus is also making strides in the information technology and innovation sectors. Although work is to be done here, things are moving in the right direction.
