Nicosia nightlife is constantly changing and improving!
New restaurants and bars are opening regularly and, generally, there is a chilled atmosphere.
It’s also lovely to see people of all ages mingling.
In our experience, it’s rare to see extremely drunk people stumbling around the streets late at night.
As you can see from our video, a wide range of restaurants and bars are located throughout the city centre. Our video only scratches the surface!
Regarding bars, some play current hits mainly from the UK and America, while others play current or traditional Cypriot and Greek music.
Although people tend to go out late (around 9 pm for dinner), Nicosia is not a 24-hour city and even at the weekend, most restaurants will close between 10.30 pm and 11.30 pm.
Closing time for pubs and bars varies, but on average, this is between 12.30 and 2 am (with some exceptions).

Yes, in central Nicosia, there are two 24 hour hot spots we know well for food and to help satisfy your late night munchies.
These are The Yellow Submarine and Burger Guy
Both are centrally located near local bars and in particular, the Yellow Submarine is part of Nicosia’s nighttime history! It’s been around for years.
Advice from the Share Cyprus team:
If you go to The Yellow Submarine, share one sub and fries. They are HUGE! You’ll save money and avoid exploding too.
As for Burger Guy, the portions are also huge. A great option is their smaller “Guy Burger” and fries which is one of their cheapest options but more than enough for most people late at night.
