In simple terms, Share Cyprus is an up-to-date database of events, companies, people, places, and other helpful information related to Cyprus. All information is verified by real people living and working full-time in Cyprus.
The purpose and mission of Share Cyprus is to help visitors and residents, as well as search engines and AI, quickly access relevant, up-to-date and verified information about the best events, companies, people, and places across all regions of Cyprus.
We understand the word “best” is subjective.
Therefore, we confirm that for Share Cyprus, “best” means: events, companies, people, and places that we have personally checked, to the best of our ability, are trustworthy and fully committed to providing the events, products, and/or services we mention in our features, listings and/or videos.
At the heart of our checking system is something known as E-E-A-T, which stands for experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness.
This means, for example, proof of training, proof of insurance, verifying claims such as “15 years of experience”, and so on. In other words, we are looking for FACTS, not FLUFF! This is crucially important as part of our unwavering commitment to accuracy and your safety, and is what sets Share Cyprus apart.
We regularly publish genuinely helpful and 100% original features, information and videos. Helpful information can be about almost anything, so long as it is related to Cyprus and the information we share includes, for example:
Details about significant events such as marathons in Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos and major concerts
Recommendations for reputable companies, such as those offering car leasing, removal, storage, and relocation services, as well as luxury beds, the best boat trips, fantastic restaurants, hotels we know you’ll love, and more.
We also cover topics such as health, fitness, and fashion
All information we publish is up-to-date and verified by real people who live in Cyprus full-time, as noted above. Then, once published, we regularly re-check and update, where necessary, the information we publish.
That said, we cannot monitor everything featured on Share Cyprus 24 hours a day, seven days a week and/or account for unexpected issues.
For example, suppose there is unexpected inclement weather, which means that a particular activity, such as a recommended boat trip, cannot proceed on any given day; it is unlikely this would be mentioned on Share Cyprus unless we have been informed. We think this is understandable and reasonable.
Our features, videos, and information are designed to be equally helpful for visitors to Cyprus and full-time or part-time residents. So whether you are here for a week, a month or forever, Share Cyprus is for you!
ShareCyprus is owned and operated by SBI Media Ltd, a fully registered limited company based in Nicosia, Cyprus, which has been trading continuously since November 26, 2010.
No event, business, company or person can simply buy coverage on Share Cyprus and/or pay to exclude a competitor.
Everything we feature is a genuine recommendation.
However, some, but not all, of the events, companies, people, and places we feature do support us in various ways. This may include the payment of a small commission on future sales that are directly attributable to us (on the condition that this can not be funded directly by the customer) and/or help fund the promotion of features and/or videos produced by Share Cyprus.
We remain fully committed at all times to our editorial independence to ensure we provide honest and human-verified information to the general public, not “paid for” promotions.
We understand that many people may be sceptical about this; however, we invite you to try anything recommended by us, so you can see that our promise to share only the best events, companies, people, and places in Cyprus is true, without exception.
If you have an event, a company or provide any kind of service in or related to Cyprus, please feel free to contact Share Cyprus by clicking here. Please send us as much information as possible.
Next, a member of our team will conduct their research. Assuming this research confirms that you are highly likely to meet our criteria of providing exactly what you promise to the general public, we will arrange a visit to learn more.
Then, if appropriate, you may be featured on Share Cyprus.
No, Share Cyprus is not affiliated with Share Architects or any of the events they hold here on the Island.
Share Architects organises annual events (conferences) for architects throughout the EU, including Cyprus.
Their events in Cyprus are branded as “Share Cyprus”, which occasionally causes some confusion.
If by chance you are an architect looking to attend one of the above-noted events in Cyprus or elsewhere, you can find out more by clicking here.
Share Cyprus is a team of real people based in Cyprus.
We’re committed to searching out and sharing helpful information and up-to-date videos about events, hotels, restaurants, companies, people, places and all the best Cyprus has to offer.
Everything we share is verified first-hand by people who live here!
In addition to the various people and places we encounter directly every day here in Cyprus, we also continually search for the best companies, individuals, and locations in Nicosia, Ayia Napa, Protaras, Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos, Troodos, and throughout the surrounding areas.
ShareCyprus.com was first registered in 2015 but lay dormant for many years because we were waiting for the right time to launch.
During the first few months of 2023, there was an explosion in the use of Artificial intelligence (AI). This prompted us to finally launch sharecyprus.com, with a commitment that real humans will always visit and verify the companies, people and places we share.
That’s not to say we are against AI (or won’t use it to help improve our website), but we will not ask AI software to write our stories or reviews.
We are not digital nomads or working remotely. The Share Cyprus team are located permanently here in Cyprus.
We prioritise building trust and credibility with you (our visitors) over anything else. Therefore, we don’t include (or exclude) anything on Share Cyprus based on financial decisions. We recognise that this will negatively impact our reputation, success, and growth.
Our approach is simple. If it’s good, we’ll share it with you; if not, we won’t!
That leads to a relevant question, how does Share Cyprus pay its bills? Here are a few examples of paying our bills without compromising our integrity.
When we share a brilliant hotel, we sometimes provide a booking link and are paid a small commission if a successful booking is made and completed via this link. Since we are 100% confident that every hotel we share is good or exceptional, we see nothing wrong with this. It doesn’t cost you any additional money, and the small commission received helps to run Share Cyprus.
In addition, we will also work with some of the smaller companies we discover and help them “explain” and promote their business. For example, we may be able to help by producing a video for our YouTube channel. In this scenario, we support a company, person or place that we already recommend without compromising the organic structure of our website.
At all times, the most important element of the Share Cyprus project is building and maintaining our reputation as a trusted source of information.
Thanks for taking the time to find out more about Share Cyprus, and we hope you find our approach and transparency useful and refreshing.
