The Limassol Marina Christmas Tree and Christmas Lights come to life on Saturday 2nd December 2023.
Two very busy men, the Mayor of Limassol and Santa Claus, will be there too!
Enjoy live music, kids’ entertainment, Christmas stalls and more.
The “switching on” of the Limassol Marina Christmas Tree is always a fantastic event for family and friends to get into the Christmas spirit. It’s such a big deal they even broadcast this event live on TV!
This year, the lighting ceremony, from 4 pm on Saturday, 2nd of December 2023, will also mark the launch of “Christmas on the Sea”, which is a packed program of fun activities and shows (scroll down for the full schedule).
If you have kids, they can take part in an interactive arts and crafts workshop, while the Eliconas School of Music perform Christmas tunes.
The event will be extra special, thanks to performances by Christina Averkiou, Spyros Aristeidou, Marios Menelaous and Stefanos Meletiou, live from 18:30 – 20:30, and a dance performance by The Ballet House.
Everyone visiting can also help support the Fundraising Charity Foundation by doing a little Christmas shopping at a selection of stalls that will be in operation.
Here’s a little taste of what to expect, with highlights from last year.
The Christmas lighting ceremony at Limassol Marina will be attended by the Mayor of Limassol, Mr Nicos Nicolaides, who will usher in the official beginning of Christmas on the sea by switching on the lights.
Plus, never one to miss a great party, Santa Claus will appear from 18:00 to 20:00 to deliver presents to all the children.
Finally, don’t forget to smile for the cameras because the entire event will be broadcast live on TV by Kanali 6 from 16:00 to 18:00.
